Events and Promotions
Since we started in 1969 we have participated in events all over the New York and Long Island area, some include: Warped Tour, Fold Festival, Goodtimes Music Festival, and Easter egg hunts. Parades of all kinds Veterans day, Halloween, Christmas, St Pats, Labor day, just to name a few. |
New York's Best Guitarist Contest
Hosted and produced by the Village Music Shoppe for 4 years, it's the brainchild of Chuck Schultz after being taped by Robert Rosenbalt of the Grammy's to produce the event for The National Association of Music Merchants promotion, International Guitar Month. It enjoyed great success with 10 contestants picked out of over 200 to play a 2 minute guitar solo in front of a wall of Marshall 100 watt stacks, 14 to be exact. With giving away over 1000's of dollars to winners along with some going on the guitar stardom like Rob Balducci. |

Namm show
The National Association of Music Merchants is a national trade show that happens twice a year in the United States, and every product is on display there. This is the larger of it's kind with vendors and distributors from around the world in attendance, but it is not open to the public. |

Air guitar contest
It was held at Spize in Farmingdale, LI where over 100 participants signed up to play air guitar to their favorite song on stage in the club with over 500 people. The winner of the contest was judged by audience applause and went on to the finals to win an electric guitar and amp from the Village Music Shoppe |
